It’s Monoscene Mondays at Lit! In improv speak, a monoscene is one long 20 minute scene with no breaks or edits. It’s essentially a one act play made up on the spot. And from this actors can learn a lot about character, story, and patience. As for real world skills, a monoscene can:
-improve conversations skills
-improve active listening skills
-teach patience and mindfulness
-teach ownership of ideas and choices
-improve the mind, body, spirit connection
We will explore the long form monoscene format during this 6-week course. Mondays 7:00-9:00pm.
Please Note: A fundamental understanding of improv is required for this course. If you’re interested, Lit offers a Fundamentals class to teach you all the basics.
